Sofia Gkiousou | Tuesday, August 24th, 2010 | 8 Comments »A lovely surprise this morning in Trafalgar Square.
A part of the square was turned into a Boccia court. Gold medal winning ParalympicsGB Boccia athletes and members of London Boccia clubs showed the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson how to play a game of the unique Paralympic sport, designed for athletes with severe disabilities. (check out the GB Boccia Federation website as well)
Boccia is a Paralympic sport for athletes with severe disabilities affecting motor skills. Boccia is a target ball sport belonging to the same family as petanque and bowls.

Also there was Paralympian wheelchair basketball player, Ade Adepitan, members of British Paralympic Association and GB Boccia and BT, official partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
It was a lovely event, people were playing and explaining the rules to everyone – photographers and camera crews aplenty as well.
The Paralympics is an excellent opportunity for London and there are a series of other initiatives to support and promote participation within the disabled community.
Check out for example the Liberty Festival which will be held on 4 September 2010 at Trafalgar Square, celebrating the contribution of deaf and disabled people to London’s culture.

Extraordinary?: that has been definitely thorough, thanks.
I have seen plenty of useful issues on your site about pcs. However, I’ve the thoughts and opinions that laptop computers are still less than powerful adequately to be a good option if you frequently do jobs that require many power, like video croping and editing. But for world-wide-web surfing, statement processing, and majority of other prevalent computer work they are all right, provided you can’t mind your little friend screen size. Thank you sharing your thinking.
